Job Description:

• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science qualifications, with emphasis on telecommunications
• Extensive (Typically 10+ years) delivering Telco, Business, IT or engineering projects
• Thorough understanding of the complete project management lifecycle and solution design
• Technical knowledge of design, RAN infrastructure and networks concepts
• Excellent project management and coordination skills.
• Experience with capital expenditure planning and delivery for RAN.
• Sound computing skills
• The role is responsible for managing 3G ,4G and 5G software and maintenance packages, hardware, and IBC systems.
• The chosen candidate is responsible for providing technical project and program support along with vendor governance for the introduction of new technology in the RAN.
• The incumbent will be expected to work with a range of managers, vendors and other senior operational personal. As such the incumbent must exhibit a broad range of qualities in order to gain/maintain credibility and successfully lead a project to meet customer requirements.
• The role requires the candidate to make presentations and educate other teams on new technologies.
• Proficient in the Perl and Python Scripting language in a Linux environment. The Internet Services Engineering Team relies on Perl as its primary scripting language. There is a diverse range of tasks and projects with a Perl component
• Proficient in a range of open-source systems and software including Red Hat Linux, Centos
• Have both System Administration and Software development skills
• Degree in computer science or equivalent
• Software development in a large and complex Technology environment – 5+ years
• Experience with Catalyst, modperl and Apache, GraphQL,
• Extensive experience with CVS, GIT, Koji, Puppet, Ansible, Kafka or similar source code control system
• System administration experience in a Unix environment especially RedHat Linux
• Database Experience; SQL, MySQL and/or Postgres
• Required to work as an individual or as a part of a team
• Displays a disciplined but flexible approach to problem solving

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $110,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
